Junior Woodchucks

Dopo il pensionamento Carl Barks contribuisce ancora alle pubblicazioni disneyane come sceneggiatore. Negli anni ‘70 realizza i soggetti per una ventina di storie destinate al periodico Huey, Dewey and Louie Junior Woodchucks, aventi per protagoniste le Giovani Marmotte. I disegni sono affidati alle matite di John Carey, Tony Strobl e Kay Wright che, per esigenze editoriali, apportano talvolta modifiche agli storyboard originali di Barks. Alcuni anni dopo Daan Jippes ridisegna tutte le storie, attenendosi fedelmente alle indicazioni di Barks, del quale vorrà riprodurre fedelmente lo stile.
